Waris qualified from Liverpool University in 1992 where he completed his Vocational Training year. In addition to general dental practice he has worked as a senior house officer in Oral and maxillo-facial surgery at Doncaster Royal Infirmary. He has obtained his Canadian Dental Licence by written and practical examinations allowing him to practice in all of the Canadian provinces. He has undertaken an extensive Diploma in Restorative Dentistry course with the Royal College of surgeons over a period of 18 months. He has undertaken further study to provide IV sedation for nervous patients where required. Waris is passionate about cosmetic dentistry; certified to provide Invisalign,Inman Aligner braces, anti-wrinkle treatment and facial fillers .He has restored many implants to date and is currently undertaking further study in the placement of dental implants.He is dedicated to continuous postgraduate education and providing ethical preventively focused dentistry that is evidence based.
Waris enjoys going on as many dental courses as possible and meditation,reading,walking in the countryside,travelling,cooking,photography and films.
I graduated from University of Liverpool in January 2009 with a combined diploma in Dental Hygiene and Therapy.
I have worked in dentistry for over 10 years
I Started my career as a dental nurse at Wigan Dental Centre.
I am responsible for helping patients achieve a healthy smile throught he treatment and maintenance of gum disease and oral health education
I am also trained in tooth whitening
My other interests are going to the gym and walking my Dalmatian Cooper

Hi. I am Paula Ivory and I am the practice manager. I have been at Wigan Dental Centre for 18 years and it is my job to make sure the practice runs smoothly on a day to day basis. I work on reception and occasionally in the surgery as I am also a qualified dental nurse. I gained the National Certificate for Dental Surgery Assistants in 1993 and the Certifiate for Dental Sedation Nursing in 2005.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children and also catching up with friends.
I became a dental nurse in 2003 and continued to work at the same dental practice up until 2011.During my time there,
I gained an NVQ Level 3 qualification in 2005, making me a qualified dental nurse.
I became head nurse managing the nursing team, ensuring the smooth running of the surgeries on a day to day basis.
I assisted in a large amount of implant and sedation procedures over an eight year period.
I joined the team at Wigan Dental and Implant Centre in September 2011 and my role is to assist the Dentist/ Hygienist in the smooth running of the surgery on a day to day basis.
When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my young son, my family and my friends.
