To prevent gum disease and keep your teeth
When the gum tissues and bones become infected, this is known as gum disease – one of the top causes of tooth loss in adults. If the condition is diagnosed early enough, it can be treated and possibly even reversed. However, when left untreated it can lead to more serious forms of the disease. It’s important to go for regular cleanings and check-ups, and to brush twice a day and floss every day to help prevent this disease.
To help maintain good physical health.
Recent studies have linked heart attacks and strokes to gum disease, resulting from poor oral hygiene. A dental cleaning every 3 -6 months helps to keep your teeth and gums healthy and could possibly reduce your risk of heart disease and strokes. Also keeping your teeth means better chewing function and ultimately, better health.

If these problems go untreated, root canal, gum surgery ,crownsand removal and replacement of teeth with dental implants could become the only treatment options available. So this will also help keep costs for remedial work down..
